PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN SOMATIC HEALING
Sensitive Intelligence™ Institute
Training women to become relationally attuned, nervous system-informed somatic practitioners.
Sensitive Intelligence™ Institute is the educational and professional training arm of The Somatic Healing Garden™ and the home of the Sensitive Intelligence™ methodology—a somatic and relational approach to supporting sensitive and highly sensitized nervous systems.
Through practitioner certification, advanced training, and mentorship, the Institute prepares women to facilitate healing work with greater nervous system literacy, embodied presence, relational attunement, and respect for the organic pacing of each person’s system.

A More Human Way of Learning Healing Work
Sensitive Intelligence™ begins with a simple understanding:
healing and learning are not linear.
We get curious. We open to receive. We learn and practice. We rest and integrate. Then we begin again.
This cyclical rhythm reflects the organic reality of being human. It is different from traditional academic learning, in which information is studied mentally and then applied. Somatic healing work asks something deeper of us. It asks us to develop the capacity to notice, feel, attune, respond, and remain connected to ourselves while we accompany another person.
As we learn to hold space for others, we are also invited into our own process of healing, embodiment, and integration.

At the Institute, personal experience and professional development are not separate.
The practitioner’s own nervous system, presence, and capacity for relationship become part of how the work is learned.
Learning follows a living rhythm

What is Sensitive Intelligence™?
Sensitive Intelligence™ is a somatic and relational healing methodology designed to train practitioners in nervous system-informed, attuned, regulation-focused healing work for sensitive and highly sensitized nervous systems.
The methodology brings together nervous system literacy, relational healing, embodied somatic practice, and the understanding that sensitivity is not a weakness to overcome. It is a form of depth, responsiveness, awareness, and intelligence.
Rather than forcing change or overriding protective responses, Sensitive Intelligence™ teaches practitioners to recognize the intelligence within the nervous system and create the conditions that allow regulation, integration, and authentic self-connection to emerge.

Developed for Nervous Systems That Require a Different Quality of Support
Sensitive Intelligence™ emerged from years of working with women navigating chronic illness, autoimmune disease, and anxiety-related chronic symptoms within the reality of highly sensitized nervous systems.
Sensitive systems register and respond deeply to internal, relational, and environmental conditions. Because they take in and process more, prolonged stress, trauma, disconnection, and overwhelm may affect them sooner and contribute to chronic symptoms more quickly.
But this heightened responsiveness is not only a vulnerability. When sensitive systems receive the right quality of relational support, they can also respond deeply—and sometimes remarkably quickly—to the conditions that support healing.

Greater sensitivity can mean greater vulnerability—but it can also mean greater responsiveness to healing.
Many of the women who came to this work had struggled to find practitioners or approaches that could fully meet the degree of sensitivity within their systems.
The support they received was often well-intentioned, but it was not always sufficiently attuned, relational, individualized, or responsive to what their nervous systems needed.
The Methodology
Three interwoven bodies of work
Sensitive Intelligence™ methodology teaches practitioners to listen beneath the surface, recognize subtle nervous system communication, and continually adapt the work to the person in front of them. Pacing and titration matter, but so do the quality of contact, the relational field, the practitioner’s embodied presence, and the nervous system’s experience of being accurately met.
01
Neuroceptive Cycling™
A regulation-focused process that works with neuroception, co-regulation, titration, completion, and integration to support the nervous system’s organic movement toward greater coherence.
02
Somatic Self-Integration™
An embodied approach to working with protective patterns, internal parts, fawning responses, and authentic expression in support of greater Core Self connection and choice.
03
Neuroceptive Touch™
A relational approach to somatic touch rooted in consent, pacing, practitioner orientation, nervous system tracking, and respect for the intelligence of the body.
The Foundations
Presence becomes part of the practice.
Nervous System Literacy
Learning to recognize patterns of protection, regulation, activation, settling, and relational engagement beneath what is visible on the surface.
Embodied Practice
Developing the capacity to remain connected to your own body, boundaries, intuition, and discernment while supporting another person.
Relational Safety
Understanding how attunement, co-regulation, pacing, and embodied presence help create the conditions in which healing becomes possible.
Respect for Organic Pacing
Learning to follow the intelligence of the nervous system rather than imposing an external agenda, timeline, or predetermined outcome.
Core Self Connection
Supporting greater self-awareness, authentic expression, embodied choice, and connection to the deeper Self beneath protective adaptations.
The Practitioner Training Pathway
Skill develops gradually—through practice, integration, & support.
The Sensitive Intelligence™ training pathway is designed to support the gradual development of embodied skill, professional confidence, and a sustainable somatic healing practice.
LEVEL 1
Practitioner Certification
Level 1 is the foundational certification in Sensitive Intelligence™ somatic healing. Students develop nervous system literacy, relational and regulation-focused facilitation skills, foundational Neuroceptive Touch™, Somatic Self-Integration™, ethical awareness, and embodied practitioner presence.
Graduates who successfully complete the certification requirements become Certified Sensitive Intelligence™ Somatic Healing Practitioners and are prepared to begin practicing within the scope of their Level 1 training.
LEVEL 2
BY APPLICATION
Advanced Practitioner Development
Private Mentorship & Apprenticeship
Level 2 deepens practitioner competency through advanced somatic and touch skills, greater clinical discernment, specialization, and advanced business competencies for building a sustainable practice.
Graduates who complete Level 2 will be eligible to be listed in the Sensitive Intelligence™ Practitioner Directory and apply for individual mentorship through the Institute.
Individual mentorship supports practitioners in the continued integration and application of the work. Mentorship may include practitioner development, case consultation, specialization, business development, and support in building an authentic and sustainable practice.
Private mentorship is available by application to eligible practitioners who have completed Level 2.
